Aug 2012 till date- Depository Trust Clearing Corporation – 1+ Year

              Project Description – Global Trade repository (GTR) was created to manifest the reforms suggested in the Dod-Frank act and specifically targeting the over the counter trades (OTC). This included registration, regulation and positions of various financial institutions who dealt with over the counter trades in various asset classes like Rates, Foreign exchange, Credits, etc. Once these institutions are on boarded all their trades are then accepted in various forms and channels which include (CSV, MQ, SFTP, etc.) and corresponding position are calculated and shared with the related parties as reports.

              Roles and responsibilities – Senior SOA Developer

Requirement and feasibility analysis by talking to the business analyst and clients, design, development, integration with different systems, collaboration within and outside the teams, testing (unit, system and user) including production support of SOA solutions for complex business problems using IBM Websphere and Rational suite of products like Rational Application Developer (RAD), Websphere Application Server (WAS) with special emphasis on better performance and meeting SLA.

              Project Description - The NYS Department of Labor handles Unemployment Insurance benefits, Trade adjustment assistance, manages training providers, and issues various licenses, certificates and permits to the citizens of and organizations operating in New York, and various other benefits for NY citizens and businesses. Most of these systems are now looked upon as legacy developed in mainframes, decades back. This project is aimed at modernizing the Unemployment Insurance and other systems into modern composite SOA based applications bringing agility to respond to changing legislations and business needs.

Project Description - e-Pricer is a Web based application that provides various pricing functions needed by IBM sales representatives; Business Partners and support centers to quote to a customer quote quickly, easily, and consistently. This release was aimed at creating a whole new application for the IBM Business Partners to enable them to quote to customers, while re-using most or all of the business functionality which was until now available only to IBM Sales representatives. Two additional web applications had to be built to create and maintain the user authorizations and the complex web of settings for the pricing calculations for various product series, geographies, countries, tax rules etc.

Roles and responsibilities – Business Architect/Technical Lead

System analysis and design, resulting in the creation of high-level and low-level design of the various modules of the application based on user requirements.

        Integration with and reuse of the existing backend services built on various technologies including IBM Websphere MQ, and other project specific tools.

        Handling a team of 3-6 developers, working as guide and mentor for them while owning responsibility for timely and error-free delivery of the module

        Working with maintenance support team on production defects on a need basis so as to be able to incorporate the customer identified defects as part of the development happening.

        Providing remote support to customers and to on-site team as needed from time to time while meeting strict SLA adherence guidelines.

Release 6.0 brought in an entirely new module whose purpose is to extend the web-based pricing function to the Business Partners and hence further enhance customer relationships through faster and more efficient response.

Low-level design, development, unit testing and debugging of the J2EE based web application.

Integration with the existing systems, and enhancing the already built application to work in tandem with newer technologies chosen for the enhancements
